7th Pay Commission Latest News: Central Government Employees' Alert! One Mistake Could Cost Your LTC Claim Check Report



7th Pay Commission latest news update: If you're getting to continue holiday on your LTC amount, there's an alert from the personnel office for state employees. As per the alert, if you've bought your tickets from agents that aren't listed with the Govt , you'll need to bear double loss. 



One that your simply LTC bill is not entertained and another is that you will need to bear travel expenses on your own. If you would like to avail the LTC benefits, you want to attend to the Personnel Department's alert. Tickets should be bought only from IRCTC, M/s Balmer Lawrie & company, M/s Ashok travels & Tours. For airline tickets, you'll book it from the web site of the airline concerned and from their window too. 



Earlier in mid February, after a variety of queries was raised by several Government employees with regards to availing the advantages of LTC Cash Voucher Scheme, the Centre issued a clarification to get rid of confusion about the implementation of the scheme. Recently, several ministries and departments have raised queries and asked the govt for clarifications with reference to — whether any prior intimation is required to avail the particular LTC Scheme? 



Government issues clarification: Issuing a clarification dated February 16, the Centre said that the Special Cash Package is in lieu of pending LTC for the Block between 2018-21 and bills for availing this scheme are to be submitted before March 3l, 2021. The Centre further added that no prior intimation is required within the case of LTC Scheme and for the year 2018-19 (extended till 31.12.2020), the claims are often made before March 31, 2021. 



Prior to this, the Centre had also clarified on the operation part because the scheme is for the LTC block of 2018-21. Normally, a block contains two LTC fares (hometown and anywhere in India). consistent with updates from the Govt , if one has been availed and therefore the other remaining, an equivalent are often utilized for this purpose. However, any unutilized LTC of the block of 2018-21 is eligible. 



The Government said that the LTC scheme is applicable to the LTC fare left unutilized during the Block Year as mentioned within the LTC Cash Voucher Scheme Order effective from Columbus Day , 2020. 



While availing the scheme, multiple bills are accepted and therefore the purchase should be done from the date of issue of the LTC Cash Voucher Scheme Order dated Columbus Day , 2020, till the end of the present fiscal year. 



The Government said that the acquisition should carry a GST of 12% and above and payment should be made in digital mode. However, the reimbursement is predicated on production of invoice with details of GST. As far as possible, the claim should be made and settled well before 31st March, 2021 to avoid any eleventh hour rush and resultant lapse.
