Prior to the day, India got going on the right note, as they kept the scoreboard ticking and were scoring runs at a sound rate, yet all that changed, after the downpour delay, as the Lankan spinners turned the Indian center request into a web. It appeared as though they could cross 300, however, collapsed for a measly score. Eventually, Sri Lanka did what's needed, in all parts of the match, to dominate the last round of the series.

What an ingenious bowling display this has been by the Lankans here. Their spinners have spun the Indian batters during a web and have bundled them out for 225, which may be a rather tame score. If not for Navdeep Saini and Rahul Chahar towards the top, they could haven't even crossed 200.

Sri Lanka is going to be pleased with how they need to be bowled during this game. Yes, there have been not at their best, before the rain break, but once they came out then, they let none of the Indian batters survive. From an edge of strength, India slipped and was reeling, all because of the spin duo of Akila Dananjaya and Praveen Jayawickrama.

They both shared 6 wickets and ran through the center order of India, after the rain break. Dushmantha Chameera got a wicket early then, the last wicket. Dasun Shanaka and Chamika Karunaratne got one each and were decent too. Brilliant from the Islanders!

India's batting is often dug two halves, perfectly. They started off slightly poorly as Dhawan went back quickly. But then, Shaw and Samson raised a 74-run stand, before Shaw omitted on his half-century, getting out on 49. Samson, followed suit, as he lost out on his debut half-century, giving a simple catch when he was on 46.

Yadav and Pandey were looking assured, on the other hand, the rain decided to pay a visit and after play resumed after the break, it seemed that the Indians lost their rhythm, and also, the Sri Lankan spinners got some more purchase off the deck. From 157/3, they slipped to 195/8. Saini and Chahar showed some fight and push India to round the 220-run mark before India was bowled out.
