The number of containment zones is increasing in West Bengal as the infection is increasing rapidly. The number of zones in the state has increased by 63 from earlier. As a result, the number of containment zones now stands at 639.


Corona infections are on the rise in West Bengal. In this situation, the total number of containment zones in the state has increased by 63 on Sunday. As a result, the total number of containment zones in the state has increased to 639 so far. Strict lockdown must be observed in all these zones to prevent infection.



In Kolkata, a record number of people are being infected with the deadly virus every day in the state. The administration has increased the number of containment zones to deal with the situation.

It may be mentioned that the state government has changed the method of identifying containment zones. It is now being declared as a larger containment zone by merging its adjacent buffer zone with the containment zone.



According to the state government's 'Aghi Bangla' website, the number of containment zones is highest in the North 24 Parganas district at present. 16 more areas have been added to that list today.


As a result, the total number of containment zones in the district has increased to 113 at the moment. On the other hand, the number of such zones has increased by 12 in South 24 Parganas. As a result, the total number of containment zones in the district has increased to 7.



However, the number of containment zones in Howrah has not increased with the relief to the administration. As a result, there are 75 of them as before. Nadia and East Burdwan districts have increased by 11 zones. As a result, it has increased to 75 in Nadia. The administration has identified 72 areas of East Burdwan as containment zones.



Bengal's corona is growing at a record rate every day. On Saturday alone, 2,197 people were infected with the deadly virus. As a result, the total number of people affected by corona in Bengal has crossed the 40,000 marks.


The death procession is not stopping. In the last 24 hours till Saturday morning, the coronavirus has killed one person in the state every 54 minutes on an average. However, about 1300 people returned home after conquering Corona yesterday.
